Balanced Pruning Workshop

February 19, 2016

Balanced Pruning Workshop

Jim O'Connell Grape and Berry Educator has invited Hans Walter-Peterson of the Finger Lakes Grape Program to come demonstrate balanced pruning in grapes. Hans will talk about the research he has done on balanced pruning and how to implement in a commercial vineyard.  The grower host, Abby Yaghoubi, has graciously offered up his vines for some hands on learning. Attendees will be given the chance to practice what they learned onsite. Please bring your own pruners.

This event is free, and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP with Jim O'Connell by email (jmo98@cornell.edu) or phone (845-943-9814) by February 12, 2016 so we can get an accurate count for lunch.
