Respirator Fit Test Workshop (CANCELED)

Are you a commercial grower or farm worker? Do you apply pesticides? Then come get fit tested for a respirator. The fit test will cover the basics of wearing a respirator (i.e. proper placement, knowing when it is or is not properly fitted on the face). Jim O'Connell has partnered with NYCAMH to bring this service to growers in the Hudson Valley. Fittings will take place at the Hudson Valley Research Lab in Highland, NY. Each fitting will take approximately 30 minutes and will include a health questionnaire.

Each fit test costs $25.00. There are a limited number of spots available, pre-registration is required. Contact Jim O'Connell at 845-943-9814 or jmo98@cornell.edu for more information and to pre-register.


Requirements for test:

• Clean shaven

• No eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum 15 minutes before the test
