Winter Growing Field Trip to Pleasant Valley Farm

March 5, 2018

Winter Growing Field Trip to Pleasant Valley Farm

Join us to tour the farm and talk with Paul, Sandy and Kim Arnold about how they grow winter vegetables with little to no heat. They have been growing in high tunnels and selling at winter markets since 2006, and using lower tunnels since 1993. This is a unique opportunity to learn from their experience and see their tunnels in full production.

This tour is open to commercial growers and would-be growers. Depending on interest, car-pooling can be arranged from the north. The program is free, but please bring your own brown bag lunch. Questions? Contact Amy Ivy at adi2@cornell.edu

Sponsored in part by the Northern New York Agricultural Development Program. Funding for the Northern New York Agricultural Development Program is supported by the New York State Senate and administered by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
