Organic Dry Bean Discussion at Martens Farm

There will be viewing and discussion of the dry bean crop, cultivation for dry beans, the benefits of certain cover crops ahead of dry beans, and the potential for organic reduced tillage. There will be ample time for open discussion regarding organic dry beans.

Preregister by August 9 by contacting Carol MacNeil. Cold juice, water and soda will be available.

Directions:
From Rte. 5 & 20 in Geneva - Go south on Rte. 14 almost 11 miles. Where Rte. 14 crosses Nutt and David Downey Rds, turn right on Nutt Rd. Go to the end, then turn left on Ridge Rd. The farm is a short distance on the left.

From Penn Yan - On Rte. 54 heading east, go about 4 miles from the village line to Ridge Rd. Turn left on Ridge Rd. and go about a mile. The farm is on the right.
